Permethrin RED
The EPA is soliciting comments regarding the recently completed Reregistration Eligibility Decision (RED) for the pesticide, permethrin under section 4(g)(2)(A) of FIFRA. The AMCA is currently formulating comments and will post them on the AMCA website under “News” on the homepage when finalized (approximately 1 September). All comments are due at EPA no later than midnight 29 September.

The AMCA is concerned that those member mosquito control agencies in the states of Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama have suffered catastrophic damage due to Hurricane Katrina and have lost the capability to offer their services to those in need within their jurisdictions.
