Presenting a poster at the AMCA Annual Meeting is a great way to give your colleagues an opportunity to interact with your research while away from the labs and field sites during the Annual Meeting. The American Mosquito Control Association will present awards to 3 posters. The winners will be awarded with first, second, third place prizes. Poster presenters can opt out of participating in the Poster Competition. Individuals participating in another competition category (Student Competition, Latin American Student Competition) are ineligible to participate.

AMCA will hold a Latin American Student Competition during the 2019 Annual Meeting. AMCA will award up to three undergraduate or graduate students or those who have graduated within 12 months of the submission deadline date who present their papers at the Latin American Student Competition during the 85th Annual Meeting. Latin American poster abstracts are also being accepted. Abstract submissions for the Latin American Student Competition are limited to 75 words.
The recommended abstract length is between 150 and 300 words, except for the Student Paper Competition and Latin American Student Competition, which are 75 words. Abstract titles should be brief, clearly indicating the nature of your presentation. When entering your title online, use mixed case (do not use all caps) and do not put a period at the end of the title. Please do not send supplemental materials (photos, articles or reports) with your abstract. These will not be seen by the program review committee.
The primary abstract contact will receive an email message confirming the receipt of the abstract. Please notify your authors/co-authors that the confirmation was received. All papers submitted will be reviewed by the AMCA Program Chair at the close of the paper submission period. Acceptance notifications will be sent in late October.

Authors and Affiliations
List the authors and affiliations according to the instructions given online. Author and affiliation information should also be included in the abstract as formatted in the template. If authors’ names and affiliations appear on more than one abstract, the names and affiliations must be entered identically on each abstract to ensure proper, non-repetitive indexing in publication. Otherwise, the author’s name and affiliation will appear multiple times as AMCA cannot assume that the multiple listings refer to the same author or affiliation. Please consult with your co-authors on how they would like their names and affiliations to appear prior to the submission of the abstract.
If the primary author, primary contact, or presenter are the same, this information must be noted in those categories. Only the primary author and co-authors will be noted within the abstract and program documents. Primary contacts will NOT be referenced on the final documents.
