Board of Director Nominations
Nominations for the 2019-2020 BOARD OF DIRECTORS are OPEN.
Members wishing to propose a nominee should obtain consent to run and an assurance of serving if elected, before submitting the nomination. Please send nominations to Wayne Gale, Nominating Committee Chair.
Nominations must be received by August 13, 2018.
In accordance with AMCA Bylaws, the Association is soliciting candidates for Regional Director for the following positions for inclusion on the upcoming ballots which will be sent to all voting members between September 1 and September 15.
Mid-Atlantic Director: Delaware, District of Columbia, Maryland, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia
Current Director: Dennis Salmen (not eligible for re-election)
North Central Director: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, Tennessee, Wisconsin
Current Director: Mark Breidenbaugh (eligible for re-election)
West Central Director: Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah, Wyoming
Current Director: Lee Cohnstaedt (currently serving one-year replacement term for director who moved into officer position; eligible for election)
A Regional Director Nominating Committee is assembled for each vacant Director position, and consists of the Technical Advisor and two appointees from the Region suggested by the incumbent Regional Director (if not a candidate) or the Technical Advisor and two members appointed from the Region by the President, if the incumbent Regional Director is a candidate. Candidates for the position of Regional Director should be nominated by their state or regional associations based on their active participation in AMCA, active involvement in mosquito control research and/ or operational work, active participation in local, state or regional associations and willingness to work as a Regional Director. Ten or more members from a region may also recommend a candidate for consideration.
The name and credentials of candidates should be forwarded to Joe Conlon, AMCA Technical Advisor, no later than August 13, 2018 for review by the Regional Nominating Committees and placement on the ballot.
